Las Tres Hermanas Academy
ABOUT
Las Tres Hermanas Academy is an immersion program created to provide children the opportunity to learn Spanish via activities, music, movies and interactive play. We provide a safe and friendly environment where your children will have the chance to build their listening skills as well as their communicative skills by providing them the tools that are necessary to be able to interact and speak with others in the target language.
BENEFITS
The benefits of learning a second language are monumental. Research findings have proven that learning a second language shows an improvement of academic progress in other subjects, basic skill development and higher order, abstract and creative thinking. Learning a second language enriches and enhances cognitive development, a student's sense of achievement and helps students score higher on standardized tests. It also promotes cultural awareness and competency.
​Our Staff
Our staff consists of Dolores Ruiz-Fabrega, Maria Conklin and Natalia Ruiz-Fabrega.
We were born and raised in Albuquerque NM and growing up speaking spanish has had a great impact in our lives.
Dolores Ruiz-Fabrega: Ph.D in Spanish (UNM) Has been teaching spanish for 10 years. Taught at UNM, CU and CNM.
Maria Conklin: Ph.D in Spanish (UNM). Teaching Spanish for 8 years.
Natalia Ruiz-Fabrega: Student at UNM working toward a Spanish major, has taught spanish in an elementary school as an after school program.
